In-SPIRE

Can’t believe I have only got 3 days left with The Trend Boutique!! :( I don’t want to leave because I enjoy to work with InDesign so much. Anyway, we had an early lunch today because we are all invited to go for the career event from 1-5pm. In the morning, I got a few new tasks to do, which can probably fill up today and tomorrow when Sally is away. Got to do the boards from Spring Summer 11 because the one who meant to be doing it didn’t do it well enough and obviously, Sally wasn’t satisfied. So I left the Worn behind and work on the Spring Summer ones because it just need to be done as the season is approaching soon!

After the morning working on trend boards, we all attend the event, which came in very useful to me. It was an event that costs 40pounds for public and we went for free :) I think this is even better than giving me 40pounds on hand.

We went through the roles that are available in the fashion industry, CV, portfolio and interview techniques. Today was the first time I heard of a position called Import Merchandiser, and it sounds like me. I also heard some stories from people who have worked for high street and aboard. Overall, we had a good chat and I need to have an action plan for my career.

Last but not least is that, my lovely friend Heidi, who helped me for the Milk Magazine internship in Hong Kong told me to get prepare for an interview on 20th Aug, which is the day after I got back. I think I need to start doing some sketches and design work..I know its last minute, but I just think what I have is not enough.
